The vision of the Prince Albert Arts Board is that Prince Albert’s citizens have a multitude of opportunities to engage in creative pursuits as artists, students, participants, and audience members. We aim to develop the arts community's reputation as an inclusive, innovative and culturally vibrant city is broadly recognized. We want our artists to thrive in an open and encouraging environment that places high value on their contributions to our community.
The Prince Albert Arts Board hopes to achieve its vision by advocating on behalf of artists and arts organizations, stewarding the Civic Arts Policy and assisting the City of Prince Albert in its implementation, actively engaging artists and arts organizations to understand their unique perspectives and needs, representing the arts in public policy making, generating and sharing resources to benefit the diverse community of Prince Albert and area through the arts, and promoting Prince Albert and area arts within the city and beyond.
If this sounds like the kind of vision and mission you'd like to help us achieve, consider attending our Annual General Meeting Wednesday, March 13th, 6pm at the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts (142 12th Street West). We have a number of position available for people who share the same artistic vision for the City of Prince Albert.
The Prince Albert Arts Board hosts an annual free event each year to help artists develop their business sense, and we honoured to host the Prince Albert Arts Hall of Fame Gala each September. We are also stewards of the Helen Ferris Memorial Trust Fund, which offers financial assistance to young artists to take the next step to pursue their passions!
