Our Mission
is to achieve our vision by:

ADVOCATING on behalf of artists and arts organizations.

STEWARDING the Civic Arts Policy (view at policies.citypa.ca) and assisting the City of Prince Albert in its implementation.

ENGAGING artists and arts organizations to understand their unique perspectives and needs.

GENERATING and sharing resources to benefit the diverse community of Prince Albert and area through the arts.

PROMOTING Prince Albert and area arts within the city and beyond.

INCREASING the opportunities for and recognition of Indigenous and youth artists.

Responsibilities & Commitment:
-
Meet once a month (virtually over ZOOM or in-person at the Arts Centre), except in July
-
Select Arts Hall of Fame inductees and plan the annual Arts Hall of Fame Gala
-
Facilitate free arts events 4x per year for our arts community (ex. How to write a grant, creating your Artist's CV, artist talk with Mann’s Winter Festival Curator, etc.)

Steward the civic arts policy and assist the City of Prince Albert in its implementation when necessary
-
Select applicants for the Helen Ferris Memorial Trust Fund as they apply (1-2/year)

Attend local arts events and help promote the arts in the community

Advocate on city art matters
